It features one gas strut and related hardware that bolt easily in place that allow your tailgate to glide open slowly, safely, and gracefully.
Installation is straightforward. Using standard tools, simply unhook the driver's side tailgate support cable, then replace the original mounting bolts with new ones supplied in the kit designed for the gas strut. Once the support cable is reinstalled, your tailgate will latch tightly in place with no clearance issues or difficulty. we has tested and developed the gas strut and related components to heavy duty specifications to ensure many years of smooth operation, even in the most extreme of temperatures and the dirtiest of environments.
